Ghana: Mr Eazi teams up with MOLIY on new single ‘Comfort’

Ghanaian-Nigerian artist Mr Eazi has released ‘Comfort’, a new single featuring Ghanaian-American singer MOLIY.
Mr Eazi.
Produced by Nigerian hitmaker Ragee, the track brings together Mr Eazi’s Banku Music sound with elements of Afrobeats, dancehall and R&B. Ragee’s recent production credits include Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘Hot Body’ and ‘Who’s Dat Girl’.
‘Comfort’ also adds to MOLIY’s growing catalogue following the international success of ‘Shake It To The Max - FLY’ (Remix), which featured Skillibeng and Shenseea, and her 2026 mixtape BADDIES <3 MOLIY.
Mr Eazi said the song represents an updated take on the sound he has developed throughout his career.
“This is an updated version of my signature sound,” he said. “I’m making gyal dem music—sweet, easy, flattering gyal dem music.”
Recorded during a stay in London, ‘Comfort’ is built around a buoyant rhythm and bass synthesiser melody. The song's accompanying music video, directed by Ademola Falomo, draws on 1980s visual aesthetics, incorporating retro-futurist graphics, telephone hotline imagery, shopping-mall photo studio settings and oversized mobile phones.
The track had already generated attention ahead of its official release, with its teaser audio reportedly recording more than 30 million views and 60,000 uses on TikTok. The music video also premiered on Revolt TV before the single's release, while BBC 1Xtra presenters including DJ Edu, CassKidd and Remi Burgz featured the song ahead of its launch.
‘Comfort’ follows several other releases from Mr Eazi in 2026. These include ‘Lambo’, featuring Vybz Kartel, ‘Hide Your Love’ and ‘Remember That’, all produced in collaboration with US-based dancehall producer Dre Skull. He also released the collaborative album ‘See What We’ve Done’ with Ghanaian artist King Promise in April.
Mr Eazi, who pioneered the Banku Music sound, has released music including ‘Skin Tight’, ‘Leg Over’, ‘Miss You Bad’ and ‘Patek’. He is also the founder of emPawa Africa, an independent music company focused on artist development, distribution and publishing.
For MOLIY, ‘Comfort’ follows a period of international growth driven by ‘Shake It To The Max - FLY’ (Remix), which topped the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart for 22 consecutive weeks and earned more than a billion streams, according to figures supplied by her representatives.
Her recent recognition includes a World Artist of the Year award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and nominations at the American Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards.
‘Comfort’ is the latest release in Mr Eazi’s 2026 run of singles as he continues to work on new material.
