Marie-Kimberly Tesha Oxide
Kimberly Oxide is the Manager of the Research & Development Department at MOMIX, Mauritius’s first music market. Her role focuses on expanding MOMIX’s impact through innovative structures and programs aimed at promoting cultural mobility, strengthening creative and cultural industries, and enhancing the professionalization of cultural actors. She also plays a key role in developing International Cultural and Cooperation Agreements with various territories.
Kimberly holds an MPhil from the University of Mauritius, where her research focused on languages in Mauritius’s cultural industries. Currently pursuing a PhD on the same topic, she is exploring the performing arts and music sectors. In addition to her role at MOMIX, she serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Mauritius, teaching sociolinguistics (French and Creole) to undergraduate students. Her academic expertise significantly informs her work at MOMIX, where she combines research and practice to foster the growth of Mauritius’s cultural landscape.
