Call for applications: Music In Africa Live
Are you an arts organisation with showcase, capacity-building or music advocacy projects in need of funding?
The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) invites eligible organisations, festivals and live music venues to apply for the third iteration of Music in Africa Live (MIAL). Music in Africa Live is an initiative centred around supporting the creation of quality showcase, capacity building and music advocacy content – as an intervention for the African music economy to manage the challenges occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The third call out for grant applications is open from Monday 7 March, 2022 and will close at midnight on Saturday April 30, 2022. More than 30 grants will be awarded in the third iteration of MIAL, for projects that fall within these grant types:
SHOWCASE GRANTS
CATEGORY A: €10 000
Where the minimum number of individual performers booked and paid from the grant is 16.
CATEGORY B: €6 000
Where the minimum number of individual performers booked and paid from the grant is 10.
Showcase grants support the production of high-quality digital live concerts, with an emphasis on professional productions that offer real exposure, potential export opportunities and generally more opportunities for participants.
