Ann Singer
Bio
Real name Annastasia Linus, Ann Singer is a Namibian born multiple award-winning singer-live performer, songwriter hailing from Windhoek, Namibia. Her music career started in 2015 when she released her debut album titled "Bulletproof".
In 2016 Ann was nominated for the Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMA) for her "Bulletproof" album which saw her walking away with 4 out of the 5 nominations that she received. In no particular order she walked away with the awards for Best Newcomer, Best Afro Pop, Best R&B and Album of the year 2016.
In 2017 she signed to South Africa's Mabala Noise Entertainment label. Which saw Ann performing at the Durban July in the same year. Ann is also an advocate for mental health and the current ambassador for the Pebble Foundation whose primary focus is collection of sanitary pads for underprivileged girls.
One of the highlights of her music career was in 2018, where she had the opportunity to perform at the 33rd World Conference of International Society for Music Education (ISME) which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan on a trip funded by the Arts Council of Namibia. Later the same year, Ann also travelled on a trip funded by AMA (Arts moves Africa) from Windhoek (Namibia) to Nairobi (Kenya) to attend the ACCES-Music in Africa conference.
In 2016 Ann released her 14 tracked debut album titled “Bulletproof”
