Cindy Munyavi
Bio
Cindy (Born Cindy Rufaro Munyavi on 24 November 1984) is a singer and songwriter from Zimbabwe.
She is mostly known for her songs 'Parere Moyo' and 'Ndidzorere Moyo Wangu'. Cindy shot to fame in 2000 with the release of her album 'Kukuda'. This was followed by 'The Groove Theory' which earned her nominations in and out of the country. She has also released several songs with local musicians such as Nox Guni, Roki and Jnr Brown and Mudiwa Hood. Munyavi has also collaborated with African artists like 2face Idibia, Bongani Fassie, Ishmael.
She has shared the stage with big artists such as Beenie Man, Akon, Sean Paul and TOK.
Cindy is a nominee at the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA), National Art Merit Awards, ZIM Dancehall AND Zimbabwe HIP-HOP Awards. She has received accolades at the Victors Award, Woman’s World Heritage Society Award, Zimbabwe Business Council Award among others.
Besides music, she is a businesswoman who owns has a boutique shop.
