BIO
The Dar Choral Society (DCS) is not just about singing classical music in Tanzania! It is sharing their love of music by making it a bridge between all countries and religions.
The DCS is without a doubt a highlight of the classical music, choral performance scene in Tanzania. With over 70 years of performance history, today, the DCS looks not only to its rich past but to its future as it strives to be a well-disciplined, modern-day choir with the vision of one day performing accompanied by a full orchestra.
The Dar Choral Society is an inclusive group which prides itself in the diversity of its membership. Its members span many cultures, nationalities, and walks of life. Central to the DCS is the embracing of the joy and beauty of performance music, in an atmosphere of inclusivity and togetherness.
The Dar Choral Society meets every Wednesday at the Lady Chesham Nursery School on Haile Selassie Road (opposite Little Theatre), 6:30-8:00pm. If you have a passion for singing and the commitment required to produce great works of art, please join them!
The Dar Choral Society holds concerts biannually.
