Sakhile "Flameboy Universe" Mavimbela, hailing from Mbabane, Eswatini, is a dynamic hip-hop and pop artist, producer, and cultural innovator. His breakout moment came in 2016 with the release of his debut single "Nowerdays," which skyrocketed to the number one spot on the MTN SBIS 2 Radio Top 20 Chart Show. Flameboy Universe followed up with "Dancing Alone," a standout collaboration with the legendary DJ Wicked Handz, which also claimed the chart’s top position.
Flameboy's stage presence has been showcased at prestigious events such as the Global Leadership Summit 2016, where he performed alongside Eswatini music icon Bholoja, and at the renowned MTN Bushfire Festival. His debut album Rich People (2017) made waves with its lead single "Believe Me," breaking streaming records in Eswatini with over 100,000 streams within 48 hours of its release. His remarkable achievements earned him the Best Newcomer award at the MTN SWAMA 2017 Music Awards.
Beyond his local success, Flameboy Universe has gone global. In 2020, he collaborated with South African jazz legend Don Laka on the track "Let Me Breathe" from the Uno Mundo album. Flameboy recently made history as the first Eswatini artist to sign a global publishing deal with Sony/ATV, cementing his influence on the international stage.
