Bio
Juls is a British-Ghanaian DJ and producer. He is considered one of the pioneering producers of African music in the diaspora, particularly in Afrobeats circles.
In 2017, he received the Producer of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards UK and the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA). He was also nominated for Best African Act at the Music of Black Origin Awards in the same year.
In February 2020, he traveled to South Africa to experience the culture of Amapiano first hand. This was followed by the release of a 5-track EP Happy Place, which features artists from South Africa, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Ghana including singer-songwriter Busiswa and vocalist King Promise.
In July 2020 he was named a voting member of Grammy oversight body the Recording Academy.
Jul's has released five EPs: Solora (2014), Berlin (2014), MS (2014), Ojekoo (2017), and Happy Place (2020). His albums include Aamake Sange Nao (2014), Finest Club Hits, Vol.8 (2015), Finest Club Hits (2015), Vol.9, Leap of Faith (2017) and Colour (2019).
He has collaborated with artists such as Burna Boy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Show Dem Camp and Busiswa.
