Kanda Matrix

Kanda Matrix is a duo group of two young men who sing afro beat, pop and hip hop music by mixing the Swahili language with local ethnic languages including ''ha tribe language'' which originated in the Kigoma region (a region from Tanzania which is in the northeastern shores of Lake Tanganyika). Another one is the "Sambaa tribe language" which is mainly spoken by a native of the valleys from the eastern Usambara Mountains of the Tanga region of Tanzania.
The name KANDA represents the initial name of these two artists who are Kani and Ndagwi (also in the Swahili language KANDA means a tape used to record sound, pictures, or computer data) while MATRIX had a geographical meaning that states as a fine-grained rock in which gems and other crystals are embedded and these two young men represent themselves as two crystals or fossils embedded and form a fine-grained rock.
On Friday, Dec 3rd, 2022, Kanda Matrix performed their debut live performance in Marafiki Night Live, and not only they did give one of the best performances but also brought joy to the fans by performing new songs from their debut EP called ''Ulakoze Mana" a phrase from "ha" ethnic language which means ''Thank God". And other shows start to emerge starting from that day including the evening night towards Christmas from CHI & FRIENDS NIGHT on 17th December 2022 held in barometer bistro, Masaki, Dar es Salaam. and songs listed in their EP of ''Ulakoze Mana" includes "Moyo’’, ‘’farawei’’, ‘’Sovanya”,‘’Kia’’ and "Ulakoze" a song that carried an EP title it featured a rap artist who is known as Jose Mtambo.
This music group is considered to become one of the most influential groups in cultural hip-hop and afro beat &pop music, and they are currently signed under Kuzilive Ent an entertainment and music business company.
