Bio
Born and bred in South Africa Cape Town, in the community of Strandfontein Village, Kristen Fortuin professionally known as Lady K Soul (27) began singing at a very tender age. She had a burning desire to do something with her singing then went on to study at the Cape Music Institute in 2014, where she later obtained her certificate and diplomas.
Through her singing career she has proven not just to herself but to her audience how captivating her music is and can reach the souls of those around her. While her biggest motivation is her family, friends and life experiences, she gives back to her community as a Life Skills and Music Coach for the Blaqpearl Foundation in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town. Lady K Soul continues her passion by putting her soul onto paper and creating beautiful music as a songwriter.
Lady K Soul had the privilege of performing at a production titled Mzansi One Root, Many Trees, produced by Gabi Le Roux, Vicky Sampson and Nini Schlechter at the Artscape Theatre, where she performed an original song, produced by Gabi Le Roux.
While enjoying her genre of neo-soul, Lady K Soul can also easily adapt to whichever genre her clients or audience seeks. Although she currently only performs locally, her goal is to take her passion further and perform internationally.
