BIO
Leriq (real name, Eric Isaac Utere) is a Nigerian producer. He was born to a family of six boys in Okrika, Rivers state in the South-south region of Nigeria.
Before Leriq’s foray into the entertainment industry professionally, members of his family had careers in the field—his dad was a stage designer; two siblings were into dancing and video directing.
In 2012, Leriq’s collaboration with Burna Boy led to the hit song "Like to Party", which brought both artist and producer to the limelight for the song's departure from the mainstream tunes on Nigerian radio. Both were signed to Aristokrat Records, for which Leriq was in-house producer.
Although the partnership between Leriq and Burna Boy produced the latter's debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013), they soon separated. Burna Boy left the label and Leriq remained.
Leriq released his debut album in 2015. Titled 'The Lost Sounds', the album spawned a few singles including 'Say You Love Me' featuring Wizkid and 'Wishlist' featuring Wande Coal.
