Bio
Magg 44 (real name Magnus Mando) is a music producer and musician from Lusaka, Zambia. He has special skills in beat making. He is based at the famed Radio Cafe Studio and is a member of the music group Lota House. He is behind some of Zambia’s recent Bangers like Pompi’s Mizu and Broken English albums, Abel Chungus Love Unleashed Album and Macky 2’s Award winning 2015 hit song ‘So Much More’.
Under Lota House, he has produced for gospel artists like Abel Chungu, Pompi and Tio. He also produces for other artists as long as they have ‘clean lyrics’ with no curse words. The Zed gospel hip-hopper also makes his music. He uses Cubase software to make music. According to reports, he is so far the only Zambian music producer who begins his studio sessions with a prayer.
In December 2015, he released an album titled ‘Jijue’. The music project pushed him to the spotlight. Singles off the album include ‘Vichani’, ‘Pwililika’, ‘Shipikisha Club’ and ‘I Beat’ which features Zambia‘s boxing champ Esther Phiri.
He is the 2015 Best Southern African Artiste nominee at the Grove Awards.
