Muthoni Drummer Queen (MDQ) is a Kenyan, genre-bending singer, rapper, and drummer. Her sound sits at the intersection of hip-hop, reggae/dancehall, neo-pop, and soul, with distinct drum patterns from the traditional music of Kenya. Parallel to her international music career, MDQ is an acclaimed creative entrepreneur. She is the founder and Creative Director of two groundbreaking African festivals, namely; Blankets & Wine (Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda) as well as Africa Nouveau Festival. She is also the founder & executive director of perFORM Music Incubator designed to up-skill and upscale the music industry in Africa. Simply put MDQ is a force!
