N’Jiru
Bio
N’Jiru is a 24 year old singer, songwriter and performer from Nairobi, Kenya.
Her sound is vastly eclectic, believing that genres are outdated and that musicians should continuously evolve and as a huge nurturer, her belief is in translating the experiences from the universe and the dynamic world around us into music for the soul.
Her interests range from yoga, gardening, fashion and styling to socialising with like minded creatives.
She has had the opportunity to grace stages at; the APA Awards, Coca-cola Advertising Creative Week, Vibe Tribe at Mama Rocks, the Ministry of Health as well as events at the Michael Joseph Center, the Alchemist, and the Nation Media Group.
KYUNA, her latest project, is a collection of diverse songs named after where these songs were written. This collection explores different topics and styles all centred around an African folk sound.
