Olivia Charamba
Bio
Olivia Charamba is a gospel musician from Zimbabwe.
Born on 14 August 1973, Charamba began singing in the Salvation Army choir in the 1980's. In 1995, she became a member of Apostolic Faith Mission where she met her husband Charles, a popular gospel artist in the country. She began her music career as a backing vocalist for her husband on his debut album ‘Tinashe Akatendeka’ (1997).
She rose to fame in 2000 when she released her debut album ‘Amen’. Her songs were composed by her husband. The album featured artists such as Tariro Muringa and Spiwe Chimuti. Some of her albums include ‘Daily Bread’ and ‘The Gospel’ (2009). She has toured the UK (2013) for a Gospel Music Gala. She has received different awards such as Best Female Musician, Best Gospel musician, Best Gospel album and Most Outstanding Female Musician.
