Revolver

Bio

Born in Malawi on 28 September 1989, Revolver (real name Kenneth Muwamba) is one of the most talented rappers and songwriters to emerge out of Malawi. He began with the release of his debut solo mixtape ‘Hardcore blues’ (2009). The mixtape was a flop and it never received any radio play.

He hogged the limelight with the release of a second mixtape titled ‘The Ridiculous LP’ (2010). It featured songs such as ‘Hustle Ngati Mmwenye’, ‘Take You To Hell’ and many others. Some of the songs featured local rappers The Daredevilz. This was followed by an album titled 'New Dawn' (2011). The music project earned him mainstream popularity. One of the songs from the album tilted ‘Sindidanda’ and its remix won the The Most Popular hip-hop Song award. In 2012, he released another album 'Chilembwe Ndi Madona’. The album did not receive any promotion after he conflicted with his sponsors. In December of that year he featured on Judagaga's debut video 'F. W .B (friends wit benefits)'. It was shot and directed by Ron CZ. In June 2014, he released a video of the song 'Mundione Pano' which featured talented rappers Judagaga and Krazy G.

Together with his manager Ron CZ, they established a record label called Trap Entertainment. The twosome co-directed a number of music videos such as Stich Fray’s ‘4 Minus 3’, Hypa's ‘Otis remix’ ‘Sindidanda’ remix and ‘Friends With Benefits’. The recording stable owns a music group called Trap Squad.

He has done collaborations with a number of musicians chief among them Piksy, Fredokiss, Cyclone, Incyt, Maskal and Ghamba. Production on his album was done by Daredevilz, Propee, Dizzy, Kond 1 and Sanny Beats.
