BIO
TK is considered the father of Zambian music production. He is also known as the Dr. Dre and Timbaland of Zambia. He is known for making different types of beats such as Zed hip-hop, dancehall, RnB and Afro-music. He made his first beat back in the 1980s when he was eight years old. His parents supported him thus maximizing his potential.
The support saw him growing up as an artist. He later founded Romaside Studios in 1998 with his brothers in Lusaka’s Roma Township thus establishing himself as one of the leading producers in the country. Between 2000 and 2003, he produced songs such as Alubusu’s ‘Bwela Panyumba’, MKV’s ‘Mai Junior’ and ‘Msizani’, Master Flo’s ‘Chimatibaba’ and ‘So Lucky’ by Exile.
He has also produced hit singles on the Nexus Music and Hot Top 10 Zed 2002 and 2004 compilations. He discovered artists like Kamaflage, The Third, Jimmy, Damiano, Shimpanzi and Hamoba. Owing to his success story, he has been hired to judge some of the biggest talent shows locally and internationally like Airtel Star Search, African Idols and Dreams Zambia between 2006 and 2015.
