Bio
Yvonne was born on 16 Jan 1990 in Maridi, South Sudan. She started music at age 13 when she recorded her first single 'Anytime' featuring Fena and one of her schoolmates. She was recorded by her music teacher Mr. Mwashimba at Greensteads School in Nakuru.
She proceeded on a school music tour to the UK with her school band where they performed at various venues.
She joined Headbangaz Int. in 2006 where she started recording her first album. In 2008 she released her first video, 'Thug Love' that featured other East African artists. Her second video, 'Get it Right' was released in 2009. It featured Nazizi. It was followed by 'Be Happy' featuring Dama Do Bling from Mozambique. It was nominated for 'Best RnB Video' at the 2010 SoundCity Music Video awards held in Lagos, Nigeria. This video was also nominated for the 2011 Museke Awards in New York.
In 2011 she released the video 'I Know' which was shot in the Great Rift Valley. It featured on her first album 'E!V!M!E!'(Education! Vocally! Mentally! Emotionally!) She was nominated in four categories at the 2011 Kisima Awards: New Artist of the Year, Urban Artist of the Year, Reggae/Ragga Artist of the Year and Upcoming Artist of the Year.
She is currently working on her second album that features her popular song 'Suffocating'. She has previously collaborated with Cannibal, Sharama, Gaza, Girogi, Kimya and Kalamashaka of the Ukoo Flani family.
