Legendary Senegalese musician Cheikh Lô is one of the outstanding African acts that will perform during the Teranga Jam Fest, which partners with ACCES this year to deliver an exciting live experience.
The iconic Senegalese musician, who is recognised across the globe, will headline the event on 18 November at the Place du Souvenir in Dakar, Senegal.
Undoubtedly one of the giants of West African music, Lô has been making music for more than three decades. His five international releases present a creative masterpiece rooted in Senegalese mbalax with influences from Latin America, the Caribbean, the US, Nigeria and the DRC.
In 2016 Lô was awarded the prestigious WOMEX Artist Award, which is presented to outstanding musicians from across the world.
Lô is a tireless musical innovator, pushing boundaries in both his own music and as a collaborator with many and varied artists. His stature and music have also brought much greater exposure and international recognition to the Baye Fall – the Sufi order to which he proudly belongs.
The full line-up and more details about performances will be announced soon.
