ACCES highlights: Moh Dediouf
Senegalese singer Moh Dediouf will join an exciting line-up of artists who will perform at the Music In Teranga concert in Dakar, Senegal, on 18 November.
The concert is happening as part of the Music in Africa Conference For Collaborations, Exchange And Showcases (ACCES), which will be held at Place du Souvenir Africain in the Senegalese capital from 17 to 18 November.
Dediouf, who is also a renowned percussionist, lives between France, Senegal and South Africa, allowing him to create an original sound that borrows influences from the cultures of the three distinct countries. He also sings in English, French and his native language, Wolof.
In 2017, Dediouf released Trilogie, a three-part album dedicated to his motherland, South Africa and the rest of the world.
"The album tells a journey through time,” he said. “It talks about the past compared to the technological era and is a refined musical saga incorporating Afro-pop, R&B and soul with ancestral sounds.”
Other acts on the Music In Teranga line-up include R-Light (Côte d’Ivoire.), Tamikrest (Mali), Prestation Danse “Hop @ Home” (Senegal), Mamy Kanouté (Senegal) and Cheikh Lô (Senegal).
