South African duo Elizée & Malachi has been featured by Apple Music as part of the streaming platform's New Artist Spotlight.
Apple Music's New Artist Spotlight develops talent by featuring upcoming musicians on a monthly basis. The platform also provides weeks of editorial support across the Apple Music ecosystem.
The artists are also featured on playlists such as The A-List: South Africa, Best of the Week, Gqom Nation and others.
"'Esskeetiiit' by Lil Pump. That is our way of saying we are so excited we cannot contain it," Elizée & Malachi after receiving the Apple Music news.
"It is amazing to see Apple Music support young artists at the beginning of their careers. It shows the faith that the platform has in quality music as well as their commitment to investing in developing artists.”
The duo's Apple Music feature comes after the release of their highly anticipated debut album Lavish Mentality on 4 August. The eight-track offering features a collaboration with South African rapper artist The Big Hash on ‘The Hills II.’
Previous South African artists who have benefited from Apple’s New Artist Spotlight platform include Sho Madjozi, Simmy, Dope Saint Jude, Darkie Fiction, Dutchkid, Emerger and Thandi Ntuli, among others.
