Benin: Tempo releases new EP Duet of Dualities

The musician says the four-track project showcases his unique sound and commitment to creating socially conscious music, taking listeners on a journey “through the ups and downs of love and life.” The collection blends lively, modern beats with traditional African rhythms to deliver a sound that’s both fresh and nostalgic.

The EP’s first track, ‘Only You & Me’, celebrates the present moment and the connection between two people. Its lyrics evoke a sense of urgency to live life to the fullest and seize the opportunity to be with the one you love.

‘Cheater’ explores the complicated emotions of being in love with someone who is already committed to someone else. Its raw honesty captures the struggle of trusting the person you love, despite their commitment to someone else.

The EP’s third track, ‘Get Out of My Mind’, portrays the internal conflict of pushing people away while longing for love and companionship.

‘Haters Gona Hate’, the project’s final track, listens as an uplifting record encouraging listeners to embrace their individuality and disregard negative criticism.
