Call for applications: Creative Business Cup Nigeria 2023

Applications are currently ongoing for the Creative Business Cup (CBC) Nigeria 2023.
The contest is a year-round global initiative aimed at bolstering entrepreneurs in the creative industries by fostering the growth of their business ideas, facilitating connections with investors and global markets and strengthening their innovative prowess for the benefit of industry and society.
CBC Nigeria 2023 invites entrepreneurs from a wide range of creative sectors, including music, publishing, film, and fashion, among others.
Successful applicants stand the chance to win ₦1 million (about $1 300), an opportunity to join an accelerator programme, a five-day enterprise boot camp, mentoring from a pool of international experts and access to various business support services.
Professionals in the following sectors can apply:
- Music
- Design
- Leisure activities
- Publishing
- Fashion
- Film, video and photography
- Software, computer games and electronic publishing (for creative industries)
- Toys and games
- 3D printing maker
- Craft and artisan
- Gastronomy
- Architecture
- Experiences technologies
Eligibility
To be eligible for the competition, applicants must:
- Be aged between 18–35 years.
- Be an entrepreneur from the creative sector.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation.
- Possess an idea with solid business potential.

“The creative industries make a significant contribution to economic development and job creation around the world,” organisers of the competition said. “They bring about innovative solutions to challenges faced by traditional industries via cross-sector innovation, hence cultivating a more dynamic and competitive society. The goal of CBC Nigeria is to empower not only the start-ups that take part but also the creative start-up community throughout Nigeria.”
