
Call for applications: Mozambique Music Meeting 2019
Mozambique Music Meeting (MMM) is calling on musicians to submit applications to perform at the 2019 event in Maputo from 4 to 8 December.

The annual event is intended to give artists access to an audience of industry professionals, international media and new fans.
Applications are open to all genres and artists from all SADC countries.
Interested artists should use this link to apply. The submission deadline is 31 July. All applicants will be notified of their status on or before 1 August.
Rules
- Selected artists will be guaranteed at least one showcase slot, but may have more.
- Showcase slots run an average of 40 minutes
- Slots will be scheduled between 4 and 8 December, generally between 3pm and 2am (exceptions do apply)
- Venue, time and date assignment will vary.
- MMM do provide artists a basic backline but do not cover travel and accommodation expenses.
- If selected to showcase, performing members will receive MMM 2019 artist wristbands. Artist wristbands grant access to official MMM 2019 showcases, talks and debates, professional meetings, parties, networking opportunities and more (unless otherwise noted).
- Some acts may be scheduled for more than one official showcase.
- All invited acts will have the opportunity to access all MMM events to directly engage with other MMM participants in advance and during the event.
Requirements
To apply for a showcase at MMM, you will need the following information:
- Artist/band information
- Artist name
- Genre
- Subgenre
- Home town
- Home country
- Home state/province
- Biography
- Number of performers
- Average venue capacity at your shows
- Total number of shows played last year
- Shows played outside of your hometown last year
- How long has your band been active?
- Have you been an official MMM performing artist in the past?
- Artist or band website
- Performing rights affiliation
- What do you hope to accomplish with your MMM performance?
- Current developments that may impact the organisers' evaluation.
