Call for applications: Workshop for YouTube creators in SA and Nigeria
Applications are currently ongoing for YouTube’s NextUp class of 2021 in sub-Saharan Africa and Spain.
The call is open to YouTube creators residing in Nigeria, South Africa and Spain, and is geared towards helping them to improve their productions while expanding their channels.
To qualify, applicants must have a YouTube channel and meet the eligibility requirements of the contest. Interested creators are encouraged to read the contest rules for more information. If selected, participants will have to virtually attend the five-day NextUp 2021 YouTube Creator Camp, which will take place from 8 November. Applicants must register only if they are certain that they will be available.
Who can apply?
All participants must meet the following conditions:
- Have a channel with 10 000 to 100 000 subscribers.
- YouTube account must be in good standing (no strikes).
- Applicants must have uploaded at least three videos to their channel in the last 90 days.
The NextUp winners will share activities with each other during the workshop. The event will consist of the following:
- Intensive classes in production, editing, audience development – designed by production experts, popular creators and content specialists plus recording opportunities.
- Educational workshops and talks designed by the best YouTube content creators and experts in various subjects.
- $1 000 worth of production equipment.
- A minimum of three months of continuous support from the content team on YouTube.
