COVID-19: SA music industry players to take part in Bandustry Live discussions
South African music industry players will participate in the Bandustry Live series of panel discussions starting 15 April.
Six weekly discussions will be presented by non-profit organisation Bandustry in partnership with livestreaming platform Skyroomlive. The discussions will unearth opportunities and find solutions that can help guide the creative community during the COVID-19 crisis.
The first edition of the virtual round table is titled Finding Solutions for the SA Music Industry During the COVID-19 Pandemic and aims to establish potential strategies that industry stakeholders can employ to weather the storm.
The panel will be hosted by media strategist and journalist Shiba Melissa Mazaza, who will guide the conversation and facilitate a Q&A session at the end of the debate.
She will be joined by the founder and CEO of artist management agency Black Major, Sevi Spanoudi, technical production manager and consultant Sharif Baker, Ultra South Africa co-owner Shaun Duvet and SAMA-winning hip hop artist Stogie T.
The panel discussion starts at 6pm and will be livestreamed on Bandustry and Skyroomlive.
Last month, Music In Africa also spoke to a number of music professionals to find out how they were dealing with the impact of COVID-19.
