French Montana to headline AFROTRAX shows in Joburg, Cape Town

The events, organised by AFROTRAX in partnership with PLAYY. Music, will take place at The Ostrich in Cape Town on 4 December 2026 and The Canvas in Johannesburg on 5 December.

The Cape Town event will run from 2pm to midnight, with a line-up that includes Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, YoungstaCPT, 25K, Jairic (US), Rarri, Kane (DJ) and Bassik.

The Johannesburg event, scheduled from 1pm to 11pm, will feature Cassper Nyovest, Kabza De Small, Blxckie, Jairic (US), Lucasraps, Rarri, K.Keed and Teddy Tumi.

French Montana, who was born Karim Kharbouch, has built an international career through songs including Unforgettable, featuring Swae Lee, No Stylist and Pop That. He has also collaborated with artists including Drake, The Weeknd, Post Malone, Cardi B and Chris Brown.

The AFROTRAX events are positioned as a platform bringing together African and international music, with organisers also planning DJs, food vendors, lifestyle activations and hospitality offerings alongside the headline performances.

“AFROTRAX represents a new chapter in African live entertainment,” the organisers said. “Our vision is to build a platform that celebrates African culture while connecting audiences with some of the most influential artists in the world. Launching the brand with French Montana is a significant milestone for us and the beginning of something much bigger.”

The Cape Town event will take place at The Ostrich, while the Johannesburg show will be held at The Canvas.

Organisers said additional artists, VIP experiences and hospitality packages would be announced ahead of the events.
