Listen to Tiwa Savage's new single Dangerous Love
Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has released a new single titled 'Dangerous Love'.
The song, which is now available on various digital platforms, was recorded in Nigeria and was produced by local musician Cracker Mallo. It's the first official single off her upcoming fourth studio album, Celia.
‘Dangerous Love’ narrates a relatable story that involves emotional gambling in relationships. It fuses R&B with Afrobeats and features a powerful, enchanting chorus.
"Dangerous Love is such a vibe!" Savage said. "It’s a song that is basically about a girl who is dipping in and out of a relationship with a guy that really doesn’t deserve her time or attention. She knows that he is bad for her but she gambling with her heart anyway. I feel like every girl and maybe guys too can relate to this one.”
The mid-tempo track attests to Savage's musical prowess and gives a preview to the widely anticipated studio album, which is named after her mother.
‘Dangerous Love' is the singer's second single released on Motown Records. After signing a recording contract with Universal Records last year, she released her first hit song '49-99' alongside a visually appealing music video, which attracted much attention on digital platforms.
In May, Savage, alongside Afrobeats stars Davido and Mr Eazi, also graced the cover of Billboard Magazine’s first issue devoted to Africa.
