Metro FM Awards 2025: All the winners

Leading the winners’ circle is Limpopo-born sensation Makhadzi, who bagged the coveted Artist of the Year title, reaffirming her dominance in the industry. Gospel powerhouse Xolly Mncwango earned two top accolades: Best Female Artist and Best Gospel Album for Unusual, underlining her growing impact in both spiritual and mainstream musical circles.

In a night that blended tradition with innovation, Mawelele & Kwesta won Best R&B Song with their heartfelt collaboration ‘All My Life’, while WOODBLOCK DJS claimed Song of the Year for the electrifying remix ‘Skuta Baba’ featuring Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta, and Kane Keid.

Bassie, M-Touch, Ranger, and Amaza also emerged major victors, taking home Best Amapiano Song, Best Collaboration, and Best Music Video for the hit ‘Kwelanga 2.0’ featuring TmanXpress and LeemcKrazy.

Emtee earned recognition for Best Produced Album with DIY 3, while genre-bending acts like Chronical Deep and Kabza De Small won Best Dance Song with ‘Hayi Baba’. In jazz, Linda Sikhakhane’s iLadi took home Best Jazz Album, reinforcing his reputation as one of South Africa’s most innovative jazz composers.

Other notable wins included Skhandaworld, K.O and Nasty C for Best Hip Hop Song ‘Too Much’, Usimamane as Best Male Artist, and Mörda as Best Styled Artist.

The Best New Artist award went to Neo Dube, signalling the rise of fresh talent in a competitive music landscape.
