SA: Deezer releases Easy Freak live session

This after Easy Freak was announced as the Deezer Next regional act for 2019 in February.

The live EP, which was produced under the Deezer Sessions series, features three tracks, namely ‘no lies’, ‘options’ and ‘magic’. The EP is available for streaming on Deezer and its video will be on the platform next week.

“Being a part of Deezer Next is a big honour for us,” Easy Freak said. “The team at Deezer have been very supportive and encouraging. The Deezer Next programme is something unique in the industry and is driving progress in the music industry globally.”

Deezer music editor for Africa Sotiris Moldovanos told Music In Africa: “The journey with Easy Freak has been an interesting one. The live session with Easy Freak is three tracks from their album which they released in the middle of the year. So it’s just new and different versions. We basically stripped it down and took away the electronics, broaden the instruments, shot the music and brought in a full big band.”
