SA: H.E.R. to headline Hey Neighbour Festival in December
American R&B singer H.E.R. will headline the 2023 edition of Hey Neighbour Festival at Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria, South Africa, from 8 to 10 December.
The event, organised by Glen21, will see the ‘I Can Have It All’ hitmaker being joined by Khalid (US), The Chainsmokers (US) and Swedish House Mafia (Sweden).
“These artists bring a unique rhythm to the scene, [and are known] for their show-stopping live performances and global sell-out events,” the organisers said, adding the line-up of local artists and DJs expected to perform at the festival will be announced later.
With inspiring projects and accolades, H.E.R. has quickly ascended to superstar status. She has received several awards, including an Academy Award, a Children’s and Family Emmy Award and five Grammy Awards. She has also been nominated for a Golden Globe Award, three American Music Awards and four Billboard Music Awards.
A global star, Khalid was named one of Time’s Most Influential People of 2019. With the release of his first single, the diamond certified ‘Location’, which came out just before he graduated high school, Khalid has taken the world by storm.
Swedish House Mafia, meanwhile, is widely recognised as a leading electronic music purveyor with legendary live shows. The band conquered the globe with hit singles such as ‘Don’t You Worry Child’, ‘Save The World’ and ‘One’. In 2013, it shocked the music world and fans by announcing a split up with its farewell tour which sold over one million tickets, but it later reunited in 2018.
Tickets to the event can be purchased here.
