Three Africans get BET Viewer’s Choice nod

The three Africans will compete against MC Soffia (Brazil), Prince Waly (France), Take A Mic (France), Not3s (UK) and IAMDDB (UK), Sik-K (South Korea) and Nailah Blackman (Trinidad and Tobago).

The latest announcement follows the release of the nominees in the Best International Act category on 15 May, which features Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Davido (Nigeria), Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DRC) and Tiwa Savage (Nigeria).

“I am proud to announce that I have been nominated at the BET Awards for the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category. Let’s vote in numbers and bring the award home,” Sjava wrote on Facebook.

Niniola also wrote: “I honestly can’t hide my excitement, congrats to us all. Please guys, I really would love to win this. Baby Girl NINI’ just got nominated.”

Fans can start voting for their favourite artists today via the BET official website as well as BET social media platforms Twitter and Instagram using the following hashtags:

The 18th edition of the BET Awards will be held in Los Angeles on 24 June. Voting closes on 20 June at 12.59pm CAT and the winner will be announced at the BET Awards red carpet special airing before the show begins.
