The Lusaka Times (LT) is an open source news website that covers Zambia. The concept was created in 1997 and the site debuted in 1998 before closing in 2002. In 2007, the site reopened at lusakatimes.com. LT is an electronic news platform that allows all types of users to have an open discussion on day to day current issues in Zambia.
Today Lusaka Times is run by a number of people around the world, working in an open source type of structure, purely driven by hobby and ambition to provide Zambians around the world with current news content based on facts and not speculation. Their day to day news content comes from known Zambian sources like Zambia Daily-Mail, Times of Zambia, ZNBC and ZANIS. The website covers news, sports, business, crime, entertainment and political stories.
