The Jaynii Cultural Troupe is a Ghanaian entertainment and talent development collective based in Jamestown, Accra. Renowned for its vibrant and high-energy performances, the troupe is dedicated to showcasing traditional African arts through music, dance, and drumming, while preserving Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

At the heart of their work is a commitment to cultural preservation, with performances rooted in traditional forms such as the Gome dance—often characterised by its expressive, narrative-driven themes—and the widely recognised Kpanlogo dance. Their productions are immersive and authentic, reflecting the depth and diversity of indigenous Ghanaian performance traditions.

The troupe’s sound is driven by traditional instrumentation, incorporating Kpanlogo and Gome drums, xylophones, bamboo flutes, bells, and maracasses. These elements combine to create dynamic, rhythmically rich performances that engage audiences across cultural backgrounds.

Beyond performance, The Jaynii Cultural Troupe plays a significant social and developmental role within its community. As the artistic arm of the Jaynii Streetwise Organisation, the group works closely with vulnerable children and young people in Jamestown, using the arts as a tool for education, empowerment, and vocational development.

Their primary base at Jaynii Beach serves as both a rehearsal space and a cultural hub, hosting regular performances and community-driven events. In addition to local showcases, the troupe is available for international bookings, workshops, and private events, offering interactive experiences and educational programmes in African drumming and dance.
