BIO
Locko, born Charles Arthur Locko Samba on 8 May 1992, is an award-winning Cameroonian singer, songwriter, and beatmaker known for blending Afro-pop, R&B, and Afrobeats. He has established himself as one of the prominent voices in Francophone African music.
Locko developed a passion for music at an early age, joining his church choir and learning to play instruments such as the guitar and piano from the age of seven. Around 2010, he began gaining attention online by uploading covers of popular songs, gradually building a dedicated following.
His breakthrough came in 2015 after signing with Big Dreams Entertainment. That same year, he released his debut EP, Skyzo, which featured the hit single “Ndutu” and helped establish him as a rising force in Cameroon’s contemporary music scene. He further strengthened his profile with fan favourites such as “Supporter”, featuring fellow Cameroonian artist Mr. Leo.
In 2018, Locko released his debut studio album, The Bridge, which became one of Cameroon’s most-streamed albums. He has since continued to expand his catalogue with projects including Cloud 9ine, while building a career that has earned him recognition both in Cameroon and across the Francophone African music landscape.
