Gift Selaelo Morukhuladi, professionally known as Mvzzle, is a South African DJ, record producer, and singer-songwriter widely recognized as one of the country’s most influential modern hitmakers. Born on 11 November 1994 in Musina, Limpopo, and raised in Mountain View, Polokwane, Mvzzle has become a defining force in shaping contemporary South African dance music.

Early Life & Musical Roots:

• Mvzzle grew up in a musically inclined household—his mother is a businesswoman, while his father served as a conductor and later bandmaster of the South African Army Band.
• His passion for music started early. As a child, he taught himself how to play drums using a desk and ruler, showing natural musical instinct from a young age.
• A turning point came in 2008 when his brother introduced him to the music production software Reason 4, opening the door to digital production.

Early Career & Breakthrough:

• Mvzzle initially started out as a hip-hop producer and rapper, performing in a trio called Cyclops during his school years.
• After the group disbanded, he pursued a solo career and eventually transitioned into house music production in 2016, a move that would redefine his sound and career trajectory.
