Rabbit MK1 (born Kearabetswe Mathibe) is an artist from South Africa.

Born and Bread artist from the Westrand, Johannesburg with a diverse sound with inspirations from different avenues of the musical genres like; Hip- Hop, Blues, Soul, Jazz, House and genres from different parts of the world. The brand is a stem which branches out into different departments of the entertainment industry such as being a Performing/Recording artist, Songwriter, Producer, Radio Presenter, MC, Event Co-ordinator, Ambassador and a well-known Public figure in its Hometown (Kagiso, Krugersdorp).

Music:
A Pioneer of the New-Age Hip-Hop culture in modern society, Rabbit’s success and acclaimed work is widely recognized for breaking genre barriers as he fused Hip-Hop instruments with elements of Jazz, RnB and Pop alonside his unique song writing skills, he’s famously known for potraying real life stories in a very groovy way making him sensational record after record.

Radio presenting:
Rabbit worked with a panel on creative which formed a movement titled “Creative Beasts” which hosted a showed called “Youthful Hour” every Thursday from 16:00-17:00 and Rabbit was a presenter of the show bringing in different people from different trails of life to come share their stories with a consistent line up topics and relatable questions, the show was awarded ‘Most listed show’ 3 times in a row by the radio station(Westside FM). He managed to host the show alongside ‘Palesa Da’Mentor’ (Who guided him as a mentor) for 5 consecutive month period (November 2016-March 2017) has recently (October 2020) went back into studio for a Hip Hop show every Friday from 21:00-00:00 as a co-host and producer of the show .

MC & event host:
As a semi-pro skateboarder, Rabbit start an organisation called Hope And Faith Skateboarding which has been consistently hosting skateboarding competition in the Westrand which is where he begin with his MC-ing career which he continued to grow till he got to a stage in his career whereby he started hosting and event co-ordinating his very own social events like the

Founder of the movement ForTheKisByTheKidz (FTKBTK) he has contributed a helping hand in helping young creatives reach their full potential by volunteering his skills and capabilities. He lives by the quotes “Be the mentor you wish you had.” and “ Aspire to inspire.” Which distinguish him as a pioneer in his field of work. Also a popular Skateboarding figure which landed him on an episode on one of SABC 1’s profiling shows known as “Mi Kasi Su Kasi” where he representented the skate culture of his home town (Kagiso).
