Sanna Singhateh, best known by his stage name ST Da Gambian Dream is a Gambian hip-hop and Afro-manding singer. He was born in 1986, in The Gambia and raised in a town called Brikama. He began rapping after completing his high school in 2006 at Nusrat Senior Secondary School. He released his maiden single called ‘Who is ST in The Same Year’. Since then, he continued to work harder and launched his mixtape ‘Ga On Fire’ in February 2010.
In 2011, he released a video called ‘Adiyata Telleyeh’ followed by a 14-track debut album entitled ‘Distinction’ (released 2013). Some of the popular songs on the album are ‘Ganstar Way’, ‘Wat U Gon Do’, ‘Dara Du Doi’, ‘Suma Haftan’, ‘Njunku’, ‘Brix Boy Swaggin’, ‘Malaria’, ‘Baby Love’ and ‘Super Model’.
In 2013, his hit song ‘Njunku’ won him The Fastest Growing Online and Best Video in The Gambia awards at the Gam-Music Awards in the U.K. In 2013 and 2014 December, Open Mic Festival, an annual event organized by Black Lynx Promotions, awarded him the Best Performer Award at the Independence Stadium.
In mid-2014, he released another hit song entitled ‘Aling Domo’. The song became a national success and won him the Best Song of Year category at the 2014 Purely Gambian Entertainment Awards and Night.
