BIO
Rivic Jazz is a South African born Record Producer, DJ, and Audio engineer whose relationship with the musical journey began at an early age of 9 when he joined a local brass band church. This is where he learnt the French horn and later transitioning to the alto saxophone in 2012. In high school, Rivic was also part of the school band, expanding his skills beyond performance, arrangement & composition. 2015, Rivic took a defining step in his career by building his own home studio and beginning his journey into music production drawing inspiration from influential artists such as Marshmello, Daft Punk, Black Coffee, and other boundary pushing musicians. Since then he had begun developing a sound that reflected both his diverse musical background and his desire to create his own original records and remixes, home brewed. His fascination with sound frequencies naturally evolved into a career, pursuing formal studies in Johannesburg, earning himself an Advanced Diploma in Audio Engineering. Rivic’s musical influences span a variety of genres from Jazz, Orchestral just to name a few. This genre fluid foundation has helped shaping him into a versatile creative, allowing him to approach production from multiple perspectives. Today, Rivic Jazz continues to develop a distinctive sonic identity built around various genres, while drawing from the rich musical traditions that have influenced him throughout his life as a modern producer & artist.
