Open call: ACCES 2024 media accreditation
The Music In Africa Foundation is inviting media practitioners to apply for accreditation ahead of the 2024 Music In Africa Conference for collaborations, Exchange and Showcases (ACCES).
Slated for in Kigali, Rwanda from 14 to 16 November, ACCES 2024 invites radio, TV, print, and online journalists to cover a key event on the African music industry calendar.
This year’s trade event will be held at the Kigali Convention Center and Mundi Center. It will unite professionals, artists, and stakeholders from Africa and beyond. The focus will be on engaging with and developing the continent’s rapidly evolving music scene.
ACCES 2024 will feature over 40 speakers and more than 20 live acts. The conference will also host workshops on capacity building and essential music industry skills for both aspiring and established professionals.

Like previous years, ACCES 2024 will present awards to Rwandan icons as part of the MIA Honorary Awards. Past recipients include Baaba Maal (Senegal, 2017), Eric Wainaina (Kenya, 2018), Ebo Taylor (Ghana, 2019), Bibie Brew (Ghana, 2019), Vusi Mahlasela (South Africa, 2021), Thandiswa Mazwai (South Africa, 2021), Saida Karoli (Tanzania, 2022), and DDC Mlimani Park Orchestra (Tanzania, 2022).
The deadline to apply for ACCES press accreditation is 15 days before the event. Application is currently ongoing here.
