AMG Records releases debut compilation album focused on Afrobeats
17 Feb 2026 - 09:40
African Music Group (AMG) Records has released its first official album, Afrobeats To The World, marking the label’s entry into recorded music with a project centred on Afrobeats and African-led collaboration.
The seven-track album brings together arrangers, writers and composers from across the continent and beyond, reflecting Afrobeats’ continued expansion from regional music scenes into a global genre. According to information released by the label, the project is intended to highlight African creativity and cultural exchange at a time when Afrobeats continues to gain international visibility.
The album’s tracklist includes ‘From the Soil’,‘Afrobeats Is Born’,‘Ivory Coast & Ghana’,‘Neighbours To The World’,‘Global Dance’,‘No Copy’ and ‘Our Time’. Collectively, the songs trace a narrative from the genre’s origins to its current global reach, drawing on themes of heritage, ambition and cultural identity.
The project was developed by a collaborative creative team. Arrangers on the album include Xion Kissi, Jay Bert, David Coast, Khalil Diallo, Lucas Mpili and Warren Bank. Lyric contributions were provided by Xion Kissi and Warren Bank, while authorship credits are shared among Kissi, Bert, Coast, Diallo, Mpili and Bank. Lucas Mpili is credited as the album’s composer.
The release represents a first milestone for AMG Records, which has positioned the album as a foundation for future projects. While the label is new to the market, the album places it within the broader ecosystem of Afrobeats-focused releases emerging from Africa and its diaspora.
Afrobeats has become an increasingly influential force in global music over the past decade, shaping mainstream pop, dance and chart music in multiple territories. Afrobeats To The World adds to a growing catalogue of projects seeking to document and extend that influence through collaborative production rather than single-artist releases.
