British DJ and BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Jamz Supernova will participate in music industry discussions and live performances in Malawi from 11 to 13 March.
Jamz, who is the new host and face of the British Council’s Selector Radio, will also engage in conversations with Capital FM Malawi about broadcasting and the radio landscape, with particular reference to content creators and female DJs. Additionally, she will share her insight about the UK music industry and talk about the British Council’s arts programmes, which link the UK and southern Africa.
“In a series of events that will be produced by Nyali Muzik, Jamz will be partnering with DJ RJ, Allidah Namame Henson of Capital FM Malawi and Shortie in delivering Selector Radio events, which include arrival in Lilongwe, a private stakeholder’s dinner, industry meetings, an influential women’s dinner, the Creative Hustle panel discussion and Selector sessions,” the British Council said.
Jamz will proceed to Johannesburg, South Africa, on 13 March to host a series of meetings and events before her departure for an influential women’s launch, industry meetings and a club event in the UK.
Jamz Supernova is one of the leading DJs in the UK who draws her inspiration from such artists as Nina Las Vegas, Toddla T, Diplo and Annie Mac. She has graced the stages at Sónar Music Festival (Spain), Parklife Music Festival (UK) and Ibiza Rocks (Spain).
