Black Coffee to headline Africa is Not a Jungle shows in Durban and Joburg
02 Oct 2025 - 09:54
South African DJ and producer Black Coffee will headline two upcoming Africa Is Not a Jungle events scheduled for 8 November in Durban and 29 November in Johannesburg.
The music movement, founded to promote African creativity and challenge stereotypes about the continent, has evolved into a cultural platform that highlights the talent and diversity of African music. Each edition seeks to provide a stage for local artists while connecting audiences through a shared appreciation of sound, culture, and community.
Organisers say this year’s instalments will feature performances from a range of African acts, alongside world-class production and collaborative showcases. The Durban edition will mark the first of the two events, followed by the Johannesburg leg, which will form part of the Black Coffee Benefit Concert.
In line with its focus on social impact, Africa Is Not a Jungle has partnered with the Black Coffee Foundation. For every ticket sold, R20 will go towards the foundation’s programmes supporting under-resourced communities across South Africa. The foundation runs initiatives in education, the arts, and community development aimed at fostering long-term opportunities.
Through this collaboration, organisers aim to link the festival’s musical celebration with broader efforts to empower and uplift communities.
Tickets for both events are available via Howler, with early bird options for the Durban edition nearly sold out.
