Bongeziwe Mabandla announces new single, SA tour

The track is described as an upbeat release built around Mabandla’s established sound, combining elements of theatrical storytelling with reflection on themes of karma and accountability. According to the artist, the song explores the idea that actions eventually return to those who commit them, framed through a light, narrative approach.

“This song came to me in quite a comical way. I was playing guitar and just experimenting with different ideas. At the time, I was thinking a lot about karma and how the things we do always find their way back to us. I wanted to find a simple way to express that idea, and that’s when the phrase came to me, that someone is crying, but only crying tiny tears,” Mabandla said. “Everyone has experienced some form of injustice, and this song acknowledges that feeling.”

‘Walila’ will be the latest single ahead of the release of Ndingubani, which continues Mabandla’s exploration of identity and introspection.

To support the album, Mabandla will embark on a South African tour in May and June 2026, following a series of sold-out performances in Europe. The tour includes dates across major cities and selected regional venues.
