Botswana: Listen to Danielle Swagger’s ‘Falling Back’ single

The song features Reunion Island rapper Alex Sorres. It is available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer and YouTube.

“It’s all about hard work and how people take it seriously,” Danielle Swagger told Music In Africa.

The song is built around jazz sounds and intersperses Swagger's incisive rap with melodies from Sorres.

“This first collaboration is the meeting between the Indian Ocean island and the African continent,” Swagger's team says. “Danielle Swagger is one of the few women to emerge from the hip hop scene in Botswana. A resolutely African, feminist artist who leads her career as a musician, model and entrepreneur.”

For over a year, Danielle Swagger has continued her evolution by surrounding herself with Reunionese artists. ‘Falling Back’ is sung in Creole and English, and is a follow up to Swagger’s 2019 release, ‘I’m Woke’.
