The Amant Foundation in the US is seeking applications from artists working in a wide range of disciplines for its international residency programme in New York during the 2021-22 period.
The foundation is an international private arts organisation that fosters artistic experimentation and dialogue across disciplines through residencies and public programming. The residencies have a duration of three months, and the programme can accommodate four residents at a time. The organisers are accepting applications from artists at all stages of their careers and across a wide array of disciplines including performance, visual arts, literature, filmmaking and cultural theory.
Amant seeks to provide residents with the time and support to explore and experiment within their practices. It also facilitates the exchange of ideas and experiences about art production to enhance the residents’ work.
“During the period at Amant, artists can develop their work and follow up with their projects on their own terms. We highly value openness to cross-disciplinary conversations,” the foundation says.
Selected participants will be expected to participate in workshops, presentations, and discussions among themselves.
