Cité Internationale des Arts is now receiving applications for its 2020 residency programme in Paris, France.
Founded in 1965, the Cité Internationale des Arts is a residency centre that has welcomed more than 25 000 artists in more than 300 studios in the Marais and Montmartre districts of central Paris.
Residencies start from July onwards and last from two months to one year. The programme is open to French and foreign artists and curators aged over 18 in the fields of music, performing arts, visual arts and writing.
Requirements
The following documents should be submitted in PDF format:
- A CV (max four pages).
- A note presenting the residency project (max two pages).
- A portfolio (between five and 20 pages). It should include video links and audio files (MP3, AVI)
- Letters of recommendation (max five pages).

Applications are made via an online form accessible here.
Note that applicants must participate as a duo or collective.
The selected participants will be expected to fund their residency. The monthly charges range between €581 to €886 depending on the size of the studio (between 25 and 60 square meters). A deposit corresponding to the amount of the monthly charge is payable two months before arrival. The deposit shall be reimbursed at the end of the residence.
The application deadline is 1 March and successful candidates will be notified in mid-May 2020.
