Call for applications: Creative entrepreneurship training in Kenya

The GoDown Arts Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, is accepting applications for its recently launched ArtXchange Creative Entrepreneurship training course.
The course will be conducted online for six weeks between 3 October and 11 November 2020. It seeks to equip participants aged between 18 and 35 with the tools, confidence and knowledge needed for entrepreneurial success.
Creatives in the following categories can apply:
- Music.
- Photography.
- Painting and visual arts.
- Crafts and jewellery.
Some of the topics to be covered include, Designing Your Creative Business, Marketing, Business Strategy, Financial Management, Leadership, Pricing, Commercialising Intellectual Property, Business Growth Strategies, and Exporting and International Business.
"Creatives and entrepreneurs will look at ways in which they can identify and plug skills and knowledge gaps in their own practice, as well as open outwards to embrace new innovations and technologies, and networks," the GoDown Arts Centre said.

- Receive expert advice on areas of interest.
- Receive guidance in the preparation of a smart plan for the short-, middle- and long-term perspective.
- Learn the newest entrepreneurial techniques and discuss ideas and challenges.
- Share experiences, contacts and ideas with participants from different creative and artistic backgrounds.
