The Goethe Talents Scholarship has announced a 12-day programme to support and connect young musical artists in Berlin, Germany, from 18 to 30 August.
Now in its sixth edition, the scholarship is made possible through a partnership between Goethe-Institut and Pop-Kultur festival in Berlin.
The programme offers a variety of activities to experience the “musical city” before the actual festival, including studio visits, jam sessions, short traineeships with selected companies from Berlin’s creative industries, listening sessions and meetings with scholarship holders of Musicboard Berlin, among many others.
Highlights of the promotion and exchange programme are participation in Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs, the official talent programme of the festival, and experiencing Pop-Kultur live.
The scholarship is directed at musicians between 20 and 30 years of age who have already gained some experience in the field of music and have a solid grasp of the English language.
The programme is particularly focused on talent from the Global South, the Middle East and (Central) Asia.
The participants will be selected after an international application process through Goethe-Institut’s worldwide network.
Interested individuals can apply here.
The application deadline is 18 March.
