The South Atlantic Performing Arts Market (MAPAS) is calling on artists, companies and agencies from Africa, Latin America and Southern Europe (Spain and Portugal) to apply to participate at the 2021 edition of the event in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, from 14 to 18 December.
MAPAS is a professional market for the performing arts and live music sectors in the South Atlantic, offering a space for engagement and discussion where artists can share, learn about, discover and promote their work as a collective.
Creators and agencies
The call for creators and agencies of management, booking and distribution of live performing arts (music, theatre, dance, street art and circus) will be open until 31 July and the results of the selection process will be made public on 15 of September. Among other requirements, artists must demonstrate at least one year of experience and five live performances and one album (for musicians) or 10 live shows (for performers), while agencies must demonstrate at least three years’ experience in their sector and must register at least two artistic groups or shows.
